40. ELIZABETH WIGHT was born on 1 Jul 1830 in INDIANA. She died on 28 Mar 1890 in MADISON COUNTY, IOWA. The 1850 Census of Knox County, Illinois, shows Elizabeth, age 20, her
husband, David, age 22, and their daughter Ellen, age 3. The census also
shows David as a farmer and that their farm had an estimated value of
300.00. Elizabeth passed away in 1890 and is buried at the Wight
Cemetery, Madison County, Iowa. Her headstone reads, Wife of David
D. March 28, 1890 Age 59 years 8 months 25 days.

She was married to DAVID MELTON on 7 Aug 1845 in KNOX COUNTY, ILLINOIS. DAVID MELTON was born on 4 May 1827 in INDIANA. He died on 21 Feb 1899 in ADAIR COUNTY, IOWA.
