Ancestors of Stephen & Jeffrey Cohen
Stephen and Jeffrey are sons of Robert Slonim Cohen, M.D., and
Erika Prinz Cohen.
This is a genealogical tribute to our parents.
The Cohen ancestors of our family have lived mostly in and around Fredericktown, Malden, and Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Chester, Illinois. Many of our dearly departed are buried in Fredericktown, Missouri.
Our mother came to Jonesboro, AR as its first World War II era 'war bride'. Her family hails from Wuppertal, Germany. She and Dad met while he was touring post-war Germany as a physician in the Army medical corps.
