The letter was written sometime in 1925 or 1926. Kathy received it from the Historical Society of Perry County, MO....It reads: "Rigdon Quick married Maria Newberry born at Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, December 20, 1811. (Died January 28, 1895). Maria was the daughter of Thomas Newberry. He was born Montgomery County, PA on the Shenandoah River near Philadelphia. He was a carpenter. Thomas Newberry's father was Henry Newberry from England. His mother was Anna Bull from Virginia. Thomas' brothers was Isadore, John, and Henry, Sisters were Elizabeth, Jemima, Polly, Julia and Nancy. Two sisters married Ririton. Nancy married Lowe. Maria Newberry Quick's Grandfather was James Burns born in Scotland. Came from Boston, Massachusetts, to Georgia. Maria's grandmother was Sarah Rowen Burns, born in Scotland. Maria's sisters were Nancy, Elizabeth, Margaret and Polly."
