I was able to get the airbrakes programming the way I wanted after Jim Archer, Norwich, UK suggested I use an offset mix. With this advice and my Getting The Most Out of Futaba'sŪ 8-Channel Radio Control Systems by Don Edberg it took no time to set it all up. For those who have Futaba here are the mixes that I created:

1. PMIX-1: Slave channel 6 (flpas) to channel 4 (rudder), including trim. This gets the second rudder moving in sync with the first. 2. PMIX-2: Slave channel 7 to channel 4 (rudder), do not include trim. This gets the nose wheel steering working. No sense having rudder trim change the steering. You can use channel 7 ATV and center point to adjust your steering. 3. PMIX-3: Slave channel 6 (flaps) to channel 6 and do no assign to a switch or knob. This prevents the rudder on channle 6 from moving when the flaps knob is turned. 4. PMIX-4: Offset (OFS) that slaves channel 4 to the center of switch-C (airbrake). 100% offset. 5. PMIX-5: Offset (OFS) that slaves channel 6 to the center of switch-C (airbrake). -100% offset.

I have also considered dropping 4 and 5 above to 50% and using two more mixes to get 100% when switch-c is up. This would give half airbrake in the center and 100% when fully pushed up.

Cheers!
